An item can contribute its own colored gem power independently of a socketed gem. In captured player equipment, the inserted gem and the item’s gem-power rolls are separate data fields.
MythicDrake / Fellowship Logs ↗Enter the bonus beside the item
Use the modifier controls next to the relevant equipment slot. If the item gives 100 Ruby power, enter Ruby there. Keep the inserted necklace, wrist or ring gem in the gem selector. These two sources can coexist on the same item.
Flat power is not a percentage bonus
A 100-power roll adds to one color’s base total. A 25% bonus multiplies the applicable totals. Treating one as the other is an easy way to produce a build that looks close but misses a node threshold. Check the actual item tooltip before entering a value.
