The October reset changed the Eternal entry requirement to average item level 240. The developers recommended 270 or higher for a more realistic first attempt: access and readiness are different things.

Use that hero’s current average item level and queue options. Do not assume an old Paragon graduation requirement still applies, or that unlocking access on one hero makes every other hero ready.
Prepare beyond the entry number
Before pushing, check your talents, weapon and necklace trees, defensive tools and group coordination. Compare a current player’s complete build rather than one impressive item. A good first progression goal is a repeatable clear with understandable mistakes, not simply entering the hardest option the interface permits.
