Open the cog beside matchmaking to choose more than one hero and set the eligible options for each. Adventure and Eternal have separate saved queue settings, and each hero must have unlocked the content you select.

You can be comfortable pushing with your main while learning an alt on an easier setting. Configure each hero for that purpose rather than applying one difficulty assumption to your entire roster.
Check the loadout before starting
When a match assigns you a different hero, confirm its equipment and talents before the run begins. Copying a build in a browser does not change your in-game equipment. Use the gem calculator as a planning reference and make the corresponding choices in the game.
