Start with a current complete build for your hero, then compare its color thresholds with the equipment you own. There is no single gem color setup that this site can responsibly call best for every hero and every situation.

Player captures show a real loadout used in a recorded run. A guide explains an author’s recommendation. Check the date on both, then compare talents, weapon, Relics and gem totals together. A guide from before the reset may still be useful background without being a current gearing checklist.
Make a reachable plan
Open your hero in the gem calculator and choose a captured player as a reference. Change one gem or item modifier at a time and watch which nodes become available. Keep the configuration you can actually reproduce, rather than copying a final total while omitting its supporting equipment.
