Confirmed details
Blizzard describes a realmless system with separate rulesets and revised equipment systems, including changes to stats and dungeon loot. Access is included with a WoW subscription or game time. Optional upgrade editions are not the same thing as the base access requirement.

Use our Forever calculator to record equipped item level and compare gear targets. Keep Classic Era, Classic Hardcore, and MoP profiles in their own calculator editions; do not mix their slot assumptions or presets with a Forever character.
Important distinction
Item level is a numerical summary, not a full best-in-slot recommendation. Changed stats and loot mean an old Classic gear list is not automatically correct for Forever. Our manual Forever calculator is available; a production character-import option should not be assumed until that integration is actually supported.
