The Heart of Sethraliss is in the grips of a terrible power that seeks to corrupt her. Her avatar must be restored before this evil takes root and she is reborn as a dark loa capable of destroying the whole of Vol'dun.
Overview
Essence Defilers arrive to channel Defiling Taint upon the Avatar of Sethraliss until their defeat. As part of their assault, Corrupted Guardians appear whose Corrupted Lifeforce can be cleansed to heal the Avatar. Upon removal of Defiling Taint, Faithless Tormentors fixate on the party's healer and attempt to strike them with Shadowlash. The battle ends once players fully restore the Avatar.

•Defeating all Essence Defilers cleanses the Avatar of Defiling Taint. •The Avatar consumes Corrupted Lifeforce from Corrupted Guardians once purified. •After damaging Faithless Tormentors, the Avatar Siphons the Weak.

•The battle ends in victory once the Avatar reaches full health. •Essence Defilers' Defiling Taint and Faithless Tormentors' Shadowlash thwart healing. •The Avatar consumes Corrupted Lifeforce from Corrupted Guardians once purified.
Tanks
•Corrupted Guardians inflict significant Physical and Shadow damage with Tainted Strike. •The Avatar consumes Corrupted Lifeforce from Corrupted Guardians once purified. •Essence Defilers' Defiling Taint and Faithless Tormentors' Shadowlash thwart healing.

Jakra'zet's allies arrive to prevent healing energy from reaching the Avatar.

Unstable Corruption
Polluted energy erupts from the Corrupted Guardian, inflicting 484664 Shadow damage to players within 20 yards and forming Corrupted Lifeforce.
Corrupted Lifeforce
Touching Corrupted Lifeforce cleanses it, transferring Corruption to the player. The Avatar can Consume Lifeforce once cleansed. Otherwise, a Corruption Burst occurs upon expiration of Corrupted LifeforceCorrupted Lifeforce.

The dark energy inflicts 38793 Shadow damage every 1 sec, reduces healing done by 33%, and increases Physical damage taken by 250% for 15 sec. This effect stacks.

Spell descriptions use cached Retail reference values; damage changes with difficulty and key level. Loot eligibility can also depend on faction, profession or character requirements. A Voidcore level describes a successful eligible equipment roll, not a guaranteed specific item. Normal-dungeon scaling, outdoor bosses and non-equipment rewards do not have a universal Voidcore value.
