Nek'zali the Soulcoiler

Long ago, the shadow hunter Nek'zali and her followers were entombed for the blasphemous act of summoning Ula'tek. Restored by the very power she unleashed, she calls the other Soulcoilers from their tombs to serve her once more.

Overview

As Nek'zali energizes the Soulcoil Well by invoking the Soulcoil Rite, she provokes the Restless Amani to the well. Upon reaching 50% health, Nek'zali retreats to begin the Ritual of Awakening. Destroying Echoes of Jawae removes their Tethers of Awakening and draws her back. Upon reaching full energy, she unwinds the Soulcoil and begins Uncoiling, empowering her with new abilities until her defeat.

Damage Dealers

• Essence Rend lingers and leaves behind a Latent Cultist upon expiration. • Restless Amani awaken from the sarcophagi on the outer edges of the room, empowered with Gravebound Advance until they are destroyed. • Echoes of Jawae awaken during Soul Transfer and provide Nek'zali with Tether of Awakening.

Healers

• Essence Rend lingers and leaves behind a Latent Cultist upon expiration. • Soulcoil Ignition inflicts significant damage to all players. • Soulcoil Rite inflicts deadly damage if too many souls enter the [Soulcoil Well.

Tanks

• Possession Barrage inflicts damage based on the distance each barrage travels. • Echoes of Jawae awaken during Soul Transfer and provide Nek'zali with Tether of Awakening. • Nek'zali attacks her target with Hollowing Strikes.

Stage One: Soulcoiler Initiation

Soulcoil Well

A well of necrotic energy used to raise the cult of the Soulcoilers. Any Restless Amani that reach the well trigger a Soulcoil Rite. Standing in the well inflicts 125011 Shadow damage every 1 sec. Players who die within the well are Soulcoiled.

Soulcoil Rite

The Soulcoil Well churns, granting Nek'zali 5 energy. Inflicts 66673 Shadow damage to all players and an additional 27780 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 44 sec. This effect stacks.

Uncoiled Rage

Upon reaching full energy, Nek'zali gains her full potential, increasing her attack and movement speeds by 150% and all damage by 500%. Additionally, grants immunity to Taunt effects.

Soulcoiled

Nek'zali claims a player's soul, compelling them towards the Soulcoil Well. The target is sacrificed upon reaching its waters, triggering Soulcoil Rite.

Soulcoil Ignition

Nek'zali stirs the Soulcoil Well, invoking the Soulcoil Rite every 1 sec for 4 sec. During the channel, Anguished Echoes emerge from the well.

Anguished Echoes

An anguished spirit emerges, inflicting 500044 Shadow damage to players within 5 yards of its impact location and knocking them away.

Essence Rend

Nek'zali entraps several players, pulling them in for 5 sec before knocking them away and inflicting 166681 Shadow damage. A ghostly essence remains, inflicting 66673 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 15 sec. Upon removal, a Latent Cultist emerges at the player's location.

Latent Cultist

A cultist's spirit materializes, inflicting 541714 Shadow damage to players within 6 yards. Necrotic energy clings to the spirit, inflicting 333363 Shadow damage every 1 sec and reducing movement speed of players standing within it by 40%.

Restless Amani

Ancient spirits return to their corpses, and make their way towards the Soulcoil Well. On Heroic difficulty, Raised Amani corpses remain on the ground upon defeat as Vessels of Awakening.

Gravebound Advance

Restless Amani are protected by a necrotic barrier, absorbing magic damage equal to 25% of their maximum health. While the barrier holds, the Restless Amani cannot be destroyed and fixate on the Soulcoil Well.

Corpse Blight

Restless Amani erupt in necrosis, inflicting 20835 Plague damage to all players and an additional 8334 Plague damage every 1 sec for 15 sec. This effect stacks.

Possession Barrage

Nek'zali launches spectral echoes in the direction of her primary target that burst on impact, inflicting 291692 Shadow damage to all players. This damage is reduced the farther each echo travels.

Hollowing Strikes

Nek'zali's melee attacks tear away a part of the target's soul, inflicting 41670 Shadow damage every 3 sec and reducing healing and absorption effects received by 5% for 15 sec. This effect stacks.

Intermission: Ritual of Awakening

Upon reaching 50% health, Nek'zali retreats to the Soulcoil Well and summons an Echo of Jawae that protects her from harm.

Echo of Jawae

A spectral echo that protects Nek'zali from harm. Defeating an Echo of Jawae severs their Tether of Awakening.

Soul Transfer

Jawae transfers her essence to an Echo of Jawae over 15 sec. A surge of soul energy then inflicts 1251418 Shadow damage to players caught in the blast.

Tether of Awakening

Tethered to the Soulcoil Well, gaining immunity to all damage.

Hungering Pyre

The Echo of Jawae erupts in soul fire, inflicting 5000440 Fire damage split evenly between players within 10 yards. Slithering Flames seek out players who are not hit by the pyre.

Slithering Flame

A serpentine flame slithers to a player and ignites, inflicting 250022 Fire damage and an additional 66673 Fire damage every 1 sec for 8 sec.

Restless Amani

Ancient spirits return to their corpses, and make their way towards the Soulcoil Well. On Heroic difficulty, Raised Amani corpses remain on the ground upon defeat as Vessels of Awakening.

Uncoiled Rage

Upon reaching full energy, Nek'zali gains her full potential, increasing her attack and movement speeds by 150% and all damage by 500%. Additionally, grants immunity to Taunt effects.

Invoke

Nek'zali invokes the Soulcoil Rite and calls upon the Latent Cultists to perform an Entwined Step.

Latent Cultist

A cultist's spirit materializes, inflicting 541714 Shadow damage to players within 6 yards. Necrotic energy clings to the spirit, inflicting 333363 Shadow damage every 1 sec and reducing movement speed of players standing within it by 40%.

Entwined Step

Latent Cultists reenact an ancient ritual, repositioning around the Soulcoil Well.

Soulcoil Rite
